“Living my Best Life” Sundays

Hellllooo Rockstars!

I hope you’re enjoying this Sunday! For those of you who were celebrating this weekend, I hope you had a great holiday weekend. But regardless of whether you had any plans, I hope, that like me, you’ve been blessed with beautiful weather on this fine day.

So those of you who listened to my latest podcast episode, know that I romanticized coffee dates in the city, and today was one of those days! I hung out with my friend this morning and into afternoon, and hanging out with her always makes my mood better and it’s one of those lowkey hangouts where you catch up and then do your own thing. So we went to a new (well, new to me) coffee shop today and got food and coffee. After we ranted about life, then we sat and did work.

I really love just sitting in someone else’s company and us doing our own thing. That’s something I really miss about law school and studying in general, where so much of my personality involved hanging out in coffee shops and sitting with my laptop or a textbook.

So today, I rekindled my love for cafes. By the time we left, we had been there for 4 hours, which really flew by. We probably would have stayed longer if the group of chatty Kathys next to us weren’t gabbing away!

But then we went to her apartment, had some lunch, and caught up some more. It was just one of those days where you feel light. Even if you’re dreading Monday, you’re doing okay because you were actually able to relax.

Not to mention, the weather was beautiful. A bit windy, but still very nice – like that first “real” day of Spring. So eventually I drove home with the windows down, took the long way home (aka no highways and took the scenic path instead), did some cleaning of my room (Mom, if you’re reading this, I finally did it!!), worked out (after literal months), and now I’m snacking on my bed with my windows open and music blasting in the background – right now I’m listening to this playlist, think driving in summer nights with the windows down and the music blasting.

That’s pretty much it on my end. This is a short and sweet post, I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead. I hope you drink good coffee/tea/spring drinks, buy yourself some flowers or something that makes you happy, and take some extra time to be kind to yourself this week 🙂

Until next time,
