Hello my lovely readers,
It’s been a really long time since I’ve blogged (I was actually 23 at the time), and now I’m about 1 month away from turning 25. A lot of stuff happened in the last 10 months, but mostly we’re in the Roaring 20s again!
So
- I left Philadelphia and I’m back in DC, because I
- Transferred Law Schools! More on that later
So of course it’s been an adjustment, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I can no longer roll out of bed 15 minutes before class and pre-order Starbucks and pick it up while I walk into the Kline building, now it’s waking up 2 hours before class, making tea at home, and commuting on the metro to get to class.
But one thing that hasn’t changed is that my friends are still incredible – the ones in Philadelphia and the ones at home. And 2019 was a great year to make new friends and to keep in touch with old ones!
It was a great year to travel, to Oklahoma, New York, and Chicago! All of which I still have to write travel blogs about. My favorite trip last year was definitely to Oklahoma, there’s just something about spending valentine’s day weekend with family and loved ones!
2019 was a great year to celebrate too! Two of my closest high school friends both got married in June and July respectively! I hosted a bunch of parties at my home too and got to celebrate New Years Eve with some of the best people in my life!
Here’s hoping that 2020 brings lots of travel as well! My college roommates and I are planning a trip around two of our birthdays, and will be planning one in December as well! And maybe 2020 will finally be the year that I throw a birthday party… even though I didn’t get to do my “24 hours for turning 24” party … maybe I’ll make it 25!
So, it seems like a lot has changed, but at the same time, not really! Still hoping that my 20-something years are as amazing as I dreamed!
I’m still not holding shopping bags walking down 5th or living in an apartment with my best friend across from my other two best friends, down the street from my other two best friends, but I still get to jetset back to Philadelphia, and to be honest, drinking coffee and people-watching is great no matter what city we’re in.
Hopefully I get better at this blogging thing in 2020 … who knows?
xo
