As of Wednesday May 18th 5:37 pm, I officially completed all of my final exams and am now a senior. It’s crazy to think how fast time flies. It feels like just yesterday that I was graduating high school.
Naturally, today, being the first official day of summer, I celebrated like there was no tomorrow. I slept for 15 hours and proceeded to dance for a good 20 minutes after I finished showering this morning 😛
All of my friends are off enjoying summer as well – some are roadtripping it (Thanks for the invite Vyshakh and John..), some are binge-watching Netflix (Shivani I see you), some are already in the process of racking in cash this summer (Katie, still waiting on that book you wrote), and others are prepping for their travels this summer, to New York, California, you name it. Of course, shoutout to my friend Sayli who started summer classes the day after she finished her exams, we believe in you girl.
As for me? I went to bed at 8:30 last night, and as soon as I closed my eyes, I fell asleep and started dreaming. I dreamt about two summers ago when I went to California with my family and we hit San Diego, and drove up to San Francisco. My favorite part for sure was LA though. Santa Monica beach and the Pier, running into celebrities at the Grove and in the farmers market, the palm trees at Beverly Hills, the view from the Griffith Observatory, the endless shopping on Rodeo Drive, I would love to go back.
Anyone who says that they love California but haven’t been to LA, is seriously missing out.
I want to live in LA in the future – probably at The Penthouses at Palazzo Every morning I would wake up and walk across the street to the Farmers Market. I’d probably stop by Barnes and Noble and take the escalator to the third floor where I would order a venti chai no ice (seriously recommend!) and then buy some fresh fruit to eat that morning for breakfast. After running into a few celebrities and snapping a few selfies with them, I would head back to my penthouse and get ready for my day. On the weekends I’d be kicking it at the beach, probably in the Tesla store located at the pier, and buying endless cute accessories at the cute boutiques in 90210 (Brandy Melville I’m coming for you)
Hopefully someday I’ll be able to do this, and of course, have my ideal life in LA, but until then, it’s smooth sailing in Maryland 🙂
Also, a very special 22nd happy birthday to Tyler. We all really miss you, rest easy
